Once you've picked what sort of session you want it's time to start thinking about what props, outfits and jewelry you need to bring in order to bring that tone to life.

As always, I'm more than happy to help you brain storm on what things to bring for your exact session if you wanna get in touch about your vision for your session.

However, in general there are plenty of things you should bring no matter what, or at least use this list to help you brainstorm

Outfits:

  • Cocktail dress - I always suggest a cocktail dress or something similar to start with, both for breaking you in to being in front of the camera, and also to have some photos from the session you can actually share on Facebook.

  • Nighties/sleep shirts - these outfits are actually darn sexy and don't get to be shown off enough

  • Robes - sometimes a robe (sheer is always great) is a good addition, especially for the more conservative sultry style

  • Simple bra and underwear - don't overthink it. What you wear every day is sexy and you don't necessarily want ALL fancy stuff

  • One of his shirts - if this is a gift for him it's always a nice surprise for him to see you in one of his shirts

  • Lingerie - I'd suggest at least one lingerie type outfit if not more. I think garters are a must, but do what you think is best. Corsets, teddies, one pieces, bustiers, or others.

  • Pantyhose or fishnets - depending on the style of shoot you're going for, but again, these with the garters are something I think is a must

  • Heels - one pair or six, but at least one pair to spice up an outfit of two

  • Jewelry - this aspect is often overlooked, but it's important. It's just like when you're going out for the night, sometimes you need a piece of jewelry to complete the outfit, while other times you don't. You don't need to wear it, but you need to consider it.

  • Props - whether it's glasses, books, movies, game controllers, suspenders, jerseys, tutus -- props can be a great addition to really personalize the shoot

Use this list to brainstorm for what items you should bring to your session. I typically suggest at least 5 outfits. You can always bring more and we can make decisions at the session if you're having a hard time narrowing it down.
