You've probably been getting ready for your boudoir session for months; getting in shape, looking for outfits, growing out your hair, etc.
But what about the week before?
Well, the week before it's less about what to do, and more about what to avoid. Most of these things listed next should be done about two weeks before.
If you have a normal workout routine, stick with it-- but don't push yourself too hard. Being sore during the session can really limit you by making you have difficulty holding poses (modeling is harder than you think!). Or being sore can simply make you feel uncomfortable and not your best.
Things to avoid the week before are new treatments (facials, waxing, dyeing your hair, chemical peels, spray tans, etc). Even hair cuts might be best two weeks before your session. You want to make sure that you have time to heal from any new procedures (waxing can leave you with a rash for days, hair cuts can go awry and need fixing, or spray tans can go completely orange).
Also avoid too much salt a few days before the session as this may make you feel bloated.
And most definitely try to refrain from drinking the night before the session. Again, it can make you bloated, but also you want to ensure you don't actually drink too much and throw yourself off your game. Additionally drinking can dehydrate your skin and give you bloodshot eyes which you definitely don't want before your big shoot!
Now for the do's before your session:
Pack up your stuff a few days before your shoot. There have been too many times a client has showed up and realized they've forgotten something. Packing up a few days before not only ensures an easier morning the day of the shoot, but also gives you time to remember things you may have forgotten.
Get a manicure and/or pedicure. Not only will this get you ready for feeling pampered but it will also ensure you look great in every shot.
Shower the night before the session, not the day of (at least your hair).
Drink plenty of water to keep your skin fresh and hydrated.
