My Heart Behind Beauty and Glamour Photography

I don't think I know any woman who wakes up and looks in the mirror and her first thought is "I am so beautiful", even when she is.
It happens to all of us. No one is immune.
And for those who happen to have that rocking perfect body and can actually love themselves for it there's still other things to stress over -- like that scene in Mean Girls. Maybe it's your pores, or your eyes are too far apart or your hair or anything.
This world that we live in makes us feel not good enough every single day in a million different ways. For women these points of 'failure' are more often related to physical features than not.
Last weekend I was talking with a girl with stunning facial features and killer eyes who had no problem admitting she had horribly low self esteem and didn't think she was pretty.
Where does that come from? The better question might be where doesn't it come from.
That's one of the reasons glamour photography (or boudoir photography) is so powerful.
Glamour photography is about seeing the beauty in yourself. It's about seeing the You that everyone else sees, not the You that you pick apart daily in the mirror, focusing on the negatives.
Glamour photography is about loving yourself for who you are. It's about being your own brand of beauty.
It's about taking time to reset the balances and forget the negatives you've let yourself believe and to reinforce the positives.
Glamour photography is about accepting yourself, and owning it.
And it's about creating an image to have to always look back on and remember how good it feels to leave all the bullshit the world tells you behind and to remember that you ARE beautiful.
And I truly believe glamour photography is for every woman.
You won't regret it.
