One of my favorite thing about offering all day coverage to my brides is the bonding that goes on when you're there ALL day with everyone. All through the getting ready, all the way through until the last of the party.
Yes, it's exhausting. But it's so much fun! Not only do I get to feel like a friend as well as a vendor -- I also get plenty of time to get creative and take my time to capture some great shots of your day.
This wedding started in Paso at Mikkeena's mom's house for all the getting ready, while Ivan and the boys were across town hanging out at the Paso Robles Inn.
As the girls were almost ready to load up and head over to the ceremony site, things -- as they so often do on wedding days - went awry.
The maid of honors dress seam ripped (and let me tell you, this is not the first time I've seen this at a wedding! Back up plans are your best friend). But girls are great at thinking on their feet, and luckily the seamstress was local and willing to fix it ASAP.
This just all to say -- don't sweat the small stuff. The wedding still goes on -- and as you can tell from the photos quite beautifully at that!
And luckily Mikkeena and Ivan's wedding reception at the Atascadero Pavilion was before all the water had disappeared! So glad we got to capture the last of it's beauty before the drought got worse.
Could their day be more beautiful? Could SHE be more beautiful??

Goodness gracious! She just kills me! So so beautiful!

These next images are absolute favorites. Such a beautiful venue for this gorgeous couple!!!

These two are SO cute and fun! I love the pizzazz they bring to their photos.

Love this mother and daughter dance ^. I actually got the pleasure of travelling to Bali with Colean (mom) and she is just a kick! It was so much fun! And photos and the story of that Bali adventure will be coming tomorrow!

And the highlight video of their day:
