Avila Beach Engagement Shoot | Annie, Brandon, and true love

Every now and then I pitch the idea to a client about things I want to do in the engagement shoot. One such thing has been ice cream (maybe that's just my inner fatty, but I just think ice cream is cute!). I've probably suggested it about 10 times and almost every time the client shows a lot of interest, but then doesn't actually want to do it.
Until Annie.
She was the second client I met in a row that I just couldn't stop raving about. Maybe it's that she was just darling. Or that she talked fast (goodness knows I love people who talk fast like me!). I'm sure a lot of it was how animated and passionate she was about everything. Saying she was bubbly just doesn't even cut it.
And she was up for anything I suggested, and she LOVED the idea of the ice cream on the beach and was dead set on doing it (Finally!).
She warned me beforehand that Brandon wasn't as outgoing and probably would need some help getting comfortable in front of the camera.
So naturally on the day of the shoot he aimed to prove her totally wrong by being charismatic and gregarious and simply wonderful to photograph.
The two of them together are aces. Adorable. In love. Best friends. Having the time of their life. Shooting them was a dream and I swear, it was impossible to take a bad photo of them!

Also note the heels she's in, and remember how gappy the planks are in piers, not to mention these rusted stairs that I was pretty sure were about to break! She is SUCH a trooper!!!

They just look so good together!!!

I love how much they laugh together. She has a laugh that just makes you have fun. I don't think I've laughed this much in very many sessions!

I think I fell in love with them a little during this session. I swear you can't be around them and NOT feel love.

AND I decided this girl had too much great style (did you see her outfits??) to just let her go so you'll be seeing more of her in some fashion inspired shoots coming soon! I'm just selfishly hoping to learn how to dress better, but also these posts will be about helping clients pick their outfits for their sessions.
