My sister is due in just a matter of days, and as usual the photos I do of her family end up on the back burner, but I figured before she has this new little one I'd better get these photos edited and to her! And of course I couldn't help but share a million of them on my blog in the process.
Whenever I go to Chico and stay with them the play room gets turned into my room. And this time there was the added touch of them having added my name to the door. Aren't they the cutest?!
Normally I am NOT a morning person. But those kiddos wake up early, and while they know to be quiet and not wake up guests somehow it hasn't quite translated into knowing that playing ON my bed quietly isn't conducive to sleep... especially not when I also have Sam in there.
But no matter, it's still fun and it allows me to get some early morning shots too which is always fun.

Whenever I'm up there we usually stick to more lifestyle photos of them all (which is actually a favorite genre of mine), but this time, since the almond blossoms were in bloom, and my sister was around 7 months pregnant, I decided we needed to also do an actual photo session, and Valentine's minis of the kiddos too.

And really... looking back these might need to be a tradition cuz these kiddos are hams in front of the camera!

Micah learned to ride a two wheeler for the first time on this trip! She said she wanted to ride it like a four year old (she'll be 4 this month).

Even I got in front of the camera a little too!

Mimi's house is in the middle of the almond orchards so we stopped off there and had an absolutely beautiful maternity and family session.

And sometimes Micah and Zeb tell me their ideas for photos. Zeb thought he should be in the tree. I think he's got a keen eye, this one!

Finally! My bucket list shoot of shooting in the blossoms is complete!! And I couldn't be happier with the results!
