I love traveling. A lot. And when I don't travel for a while I start to get a little stir crazy. There's something about seeing somewhere new that just inspires me, and as a plus, it always makes me appreciate how beautiful my home town is once I return!

Around Christmas I decided I'd been home for way too long and I needed to adevnture. I also have been itching to shoot in the snow for a few years, so it was settled! With one days notice I decided I was going to Yosemite. My roommate, Sarah, came with me, and the trip. went. terribly.

For starters, we left two hours later than we intended to putting us dangerously close to sunset by the ETA in Yosemite. We researched the weather in all surrounding possibly snowy areas and Yosemite was the only one that didn't have a forecast of rain. Big surprise, the forecast lied. We got to Yosemite shortly before sunset, it was pouring down rain, we couldn't find snow anywhere, we couldn't find any break from the rain, we couldn't find a bathroom, my heater broke in my car and after a pot hole my car was having suspension issues, and then a truck slid off the road (safely! No one was hurt) and we got stuck in traffic for quite a while. So, after 9 hours of driving (mostly in the dark) we returned home, never having left the car but still having had a great adventure.

Naturally, we had to go back again right away and do the trip better! Here are some of the photos of take two!

It was so fun shooting in the snow and I can't wait to do it again! (Hint hint, if any of my engaged couples want to do a snow shoot I'm down for a three hour drive!)
